East Fork Birding Festival 2016 Schedule

Here is the schedule as it stands. All events meet at the south beach Matt Maupin shelter. As noted earlier, the Cincinnati Museum Center will not be participating due to their renovation.

I will be at the shelter at 7am or earlier.

Saturday: 8 am Birding around the beach and field trips to locations around the park. For birders who would like to learn where the Williamsburg Wetlands are, there will be a guided trip to this location. It is difficult to find for those unfamiliar with the area. Another trip will be to the Slade rd. tailwater area. Meet at south beach shelter.

NOTE: The Williamsburg Wetland area is in a hunting zone. To my understanding, spring wild turkey season will be in from sun up until 12pm both days. The wetlands are just off the paved bike trail.
I and others will be available to give ID tips and where to find certain bird tips throughout the day both days. Children's activities will also be going on all day both days at the shelter.
8:15 PM Night search for owls and woodcocks. Flashlight not necessary. Meet at Matt Maupin Shelter south beach.
Sunday:
8am and again at 1pm
Birding by Kayak will be available Sunday only on a first come first serve basis. There are two times available - 8am - 11am and again at 1pm - 4pm (ending is approximate) . There will be 8 kayaks available for each time slot and I will have a signup sheet available at the Matt Maupin Pavilion at south beach.
7am Birding at south beach and field trips to various locations.

I apologize for the lateness of this schedule.  Due to the recent passing of my mother, I have been unable to contribute much time to this event in the last couple weeks.  Thanks for your understanding.
