Purple Finch!
A beautiful male Purple Finch made an appearance today (Feb. 1st) at the feeders. It is the first one I have seen this winter. Had to take pics out the window, which I don't like to do.

that's a lovely little bird... and yea, i know how that must feel. I don't get to do outdoor birding, so my kitchen window is pretty much my vantage point -- those twigs and leaves inevitably come in the way. :)
Windows and sticks. But hey, photodocumentation is always good!
Hey it looks Finchy and smells purple, a fine specimen. A lovely drop of color in the winter time.
